Gabú

The old capital of the Kaabu kingdom. The stories here are older than the borders.

Kaabu was a Mandinka kingdom that ended in the nineteenth century, long before Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and The Gambia existed as countries. Its family names, its songs and its griot lineages did not stop at the lines drawn afterwards.
